I thought it might be worthwhile doing a couple of profiles for characters you’re going to meet this chapter. Nothing spoilery, not that these profiles are that in depth anyway. Pippa you actually did meet right at the start of chapter 5 but you didn’t see her clearly and she was only around for one comic. She’s got a bigger role to play in this next chapter though.
Miss Dautry, or Miss D for short is nicer than this profile might suggest. But she tries not to be. Hasn’t had any real plot yet, probably won’t for a while.
So, new chapter starts monday! I’m working on the comic in a slightly different way, and I’m liking the result. Expect THINGS. Also this’d be a good time to get your friends to read the character profiles to be ready to join us on monday (HINT HINT)

Mr Southbrook is the one who imposed the stricter uniform regulations in chapter 3. He’ll pop up occaaaaaasionally but probably not that much.

Kelissa is another character who hasn’t played a real role yet, other than to make Jenn feel uncomfortable on her first day. Expect more of her right from the start of the next chapter.
But she likes some pretty rad bands. That’s right, RAD.

You’ve never actually met Luke, but he’s definitely had an influence on the story. What’s been revealed so far is that he’s hard to get hold of and has a tendency to stand up a certain girl called Jenn, but she still considers him a good friend since he’s generally a good listener when she needs that.
So yeah, yesterday I finally got a Uni offer! I was starting to get worried, so that was some very welcome news. The condition is that I pass the foundation year, which I’m pretty confident about.
If you’re getting tired of these profiles, don’t worry, you only need to suffer one more week of them! I somehow subconciously drew enough to last me exactly till the end of my project.
Anyway, hope y’all have a good weekend.
Tess gets a mention in chapter 1, but like Tom doesn’t get a proper role till chapter 3 (Uniform) where she is introduced as Neeve’s sassy, fashion concious friend who helps her pick out a jacket when the uniform regulations are tightened. When Neeve worries about the fact she’s never had a boyfriend, Tess comforts her, in the process of which it’s established that Tess assumes that Jamie and Al (and probably many other boys at school) are gay. Later, she confronts Jamie and tells him to make sure Neeve knows the jacket’s nice. After spanish, she notices Jamie and Jenn have a certain connection, which leads her to inform an unimpressed Neeve that Jamie miiiiiiiiiiiight not be gay. Maybe.
Tess is really fun to write. Depending on who you sympathise with most from the main four, she’s either a powerful friend or your worst enemy, which is just the start of it. Also, she’s the only really antagonistic character so far. She’s pretty harmless at the moment, but it won’t necessarily stay that way. Anyway, music.

Geri’s another character who’s not played a big role yet. I’m planning to start including the gang’s classmates more and more as the comic goes on, so expect to see more of her/Al/other classmates.
Another bank holiday! The last for a while. And to think I was starting to get used to them. Anyway, Geri’s favourite singers. I had MUCH less fun finding songs I even vagely liked for this one (sigh) but here they are:

Tom gets a non-speaking appearance in chapter 1, but his first major role is in chapter 3 (Uniform) where he is revealed to be sort of going out with Sarah in a not-boyfriendy-way at the start of the chapter. They go on another not-date where Sarah makes a move and they kiss, and start a relationship which they describe as being ‘just fun’.
So, today is not just a bank holiday, it’s the royal wedding! Oh how I really don’t care. But let’s not get into that. Here’s Tom’s favourite bands, with what happen to be a couple of my actual favourite songs. Enjoy, and have a good long weekend!

Al’s been a pretty incidental character so far, no real plot significance, besides the fact that Jenn started out annoyed and a bit scared of him, but gained respect for him after he turned out to be clever enough to be able to do most of the work on their joint English Language project. But yes, mostly comic relief, and that’ll be his only real role for a while. He does have hidden depths though, as you’ll find out slowly.
Hope you had a good bank holiday! I’ve realised that I haven’t mentioned on here the fact that I’ve started up a tumblr! It’s a combination of sketches, comic update reminders, and reblogs of things I like. Pretty much what you’d expect from a tumblr. Chances are you already knew, but oh well. Feel free to follow!
