I’m not great, but I’m not gonna bore you with that shizz. What would cheer me up and make my day though would be if one of you bought a comic or a poster from my SHOP WHICH OPENED WEDNESDAY.
(that’s not just reckless commercialism, it really would make my day worth it)

SO GUESS WHAT?
This comic, todays comic? It’s the 50th non-filler non-guest comic. And that’s counting the long ones at the start as single comics! Counting those as more I’m much further. But I’m not going to do that.
But yes! If you’re reading this? Thank you. Any of you who’ve ever said that you like the comic? THANK YOU. It means a lot to know I’m not just flailing into emptiness.
So, how am I celebrating? WELL. Yesterday I did some fiddling (yesterday means last night) and I sorted out an online store for my mini comics and posters! It’s pretty basic, but it’ll do the job for the 2 or 3 of you that might possibly want to buy stuff from me.
I guess another thing is I could link you to my (sort of) recently set up Flickr? That’s the new place for all my art and comics not related to Private Study.
Final thing: I got some exciting news yesterday but can’t really tell you about it for a long time. That’s nice for you!

So, this is VERY different to the normal look of this comic. Bear with me, I’m experimenting. As I said on monday, the only thing I have to guide me here is your feedback so if you hate this, tell me why and I’ll take it into consideration.

So, this is being inked with the nibby dippy pen like I said. This time I could really do with feedback: keep wrestling with this to see if something good comes out eventually (not saying it isn’t fun or that this is necessarily bad, I really can’t tell) or shoudl I just go straight back to the brush?

I’m working on a thing at college that is going okay I think. I might show you when it’s done. I might not. WHO KNOWS?
It has reminded me of a way I like to work so next weeks strips will have a slightly different look because they’ll be inked a different way. This is part of the ‘improving the art’ thing I’m trying to do. If it has a better result, it’ll stay.

So, I’ve started drawing the comics bigger. Whether that makes a difference, I don’t know. Also, this is the first comic from my BUFFER! I have a week of it, hoping to keep it that way, if not increase it.
